April 23, 9:30-11:00 – MK Boxing will be conducting a seminar is for those who are looking to study a very effective defense system. 

The system of Yoshitsume  Jiu- Jitsu has been taught to local, state and federal law enforcement agencies for over 30 years.

The area’s to be covered:

  • Joint locks and manipulation of vital striking areas.
  • We will also be practicing street-to-ground techniques including grabs, chokes and edged weapon defenses.
  • Situational awareness and the ability to use improvised weapons to defend yourself.

The cost of the seminar will be $35 per person.

The class will be taught by Kevin Pence Kyoshi (Prof.) who currently owns the Pence Self-Defense Academy in Burlington. Since 2002, Professor Kevin has awarded over 200 black belts. He is recognized by Kempo International, the World Martial Arts Federation, and the Martial Arts Institute as an 8th-degree Black Belt in Kempo Karate.

He also holds the rank of 3rd level Instructor in Southeastern Asian Arts with Guro Michael Williams as well as being recognized by Soke Michael Depasquale as a third-degree Black belt in the system.

He has traveled many times to the Philippines and Indonesia to train with some of the top world Grandmasters.
